The Documentary

On May 21, 2025, Mike began riding 2,700 miles north along
the Continental Divide.

It wasn’t just a journey across landscapes — it was a race against time. Mike was recently diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare genetic disease that will slowly take his vision. A photographer by passion, the very sense that connects him to the world is the one he’s losing. But instead of retreating, Mike chose to move — to confront his past, his fear, and the ticking clock with radical honesty.

Eyes on the Horizon follows Mike as he rides into uncertainty, reckoning with who he was, who he’s becoming, and what it truly means to live while time is still on your side. More than an adventure film, it’s a story about resilience, self-discovery, and choosing bold action when the future feels fragile.

Help Eyes on the horizon cross the finish line

We’re so close to the finish line, but we need your help to get there. Every dollar raised here goes directly toward finishing production and moving into post-production; editing, sound, music, and color that will transform all of our raw footage into a finished documentary ready to share with the world.
